Tell us about yourself.

I'm Khaofang (@kaaofangs), but behind the decks I go by Ciriya. l skate, I DJ and I produce music. For me, it all kind of blends together. It's movement, rhythm and finding your own flow.

How did you get into music?

I've always been the kid who couldn't stop digging for music, listening to everything from indie to electronic. One day at the skatepark, a senior pulled out a DJ controller and told me to give it a try. The second I touched it, I was hooked. A bar asked me to play soon after and that's how I slipped into the scene — almost by accident, but also kind of meant to be.

Any unforgettable moments so far?

Playing alongside Roza Terenzi. She's been one of my biggest inspirations since I started, so standing in the same lineup with her felt unreal. It was one of those pinch-me moments that remind you why you keep going.

What's in your headphones right now?

These days I'm mostly exploring new DJ sets and digging through house, electro, techno and tech-house. But fun fact: before all this, I was deep into indie reggae. It's still in my roots, even if I don't listen as much now.

Any sounds you've outgrown?

EDM. I went through that phase when I was younger, but now it just feels too formulaic. Still, I don't hate it. Some of those sounds are actually great and I love twisting them into something new in my own tracks.
